PE "Roads of Serbia" informs the public that highways and all state
roads of the first and second category, as well as access to border
crossings and mountain centers are passable for traffic.
Since on the sections of some roads there can be snow in a wet state, it
is recommended that participants adjust their speed to the conditions on
the road.
Currently, the II level of engagement of labor force, mechanization and
equipment for removal of show is in force, engaged in cleaning, i.e.
1100 roads and over 750 trucks and snow cleaning machines are engaged in
order to ensure the normal flow of traffic on the state road network.
We emphasize that the engagement of mechanization can be even higher in cases of natural disasters and the degree of their strength, and the road workers are ready to react in accordance with the development of the situation on the ground.
We have sufficient quantities of salt, stone aggregate and gravel, as well as cold asphalt mass for repairing potholes.
On certain state roads of the I and II order on the territory of Negotino, Ljubovija, Valjevo, Jošanička Banja, Kopaonik, Šabac ... the suspension of traffic for long vehicles and cargo motor vehicles is in force.
Due to the announced low temperatures, there is a possibility of occasional ice on the roads, especially on sections that stretch along rivers, valleys, gorges and road facilities.
We draw the public's attention to the fact that trucks and their reckless drivers who set off without winter equipment, i.e. with summer and defective tires, are causing a big problem in the flow of traffic.
PE "Roads of Serbia" appeals to all traffic participants not to move without the obligatory winter equipment, and to be especially careful in case of bad weather conditions, to respect speed limits and adjust the speed to the conditions on the road.
