Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, in a presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Serbia, Hami Aksoy, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirović, the Turkish Consul General in Novi Pazar, Basar Basol, Mayor of Novi Pazar, Nihat Biševac, representatives of the PE Roads of Serbia and other high officials, dedicated the reconstructed road from Novi Pazar to Tutin, 20.5 kilometers long.
The Turkish Tasyapi performed the works valuing EUR 24 million, and the Project was financed by the funds of the Republic of Serbia from the loan provided by the Republic of Turkey.
President Vučić visited afterward the reconstructed road Pridvorica - Devići at Ivanjica, together with the Mayor of the town of Ivanjica, Momčilo Mitrović, Minister of Agriculture, Branislavom Nedimovićem, and Acting Director of the PE Roads of Serbia, Zoran Drobnjak. The state has invested more than RSD 480 million.
At the opening ceremony of the road Novi Pazar – Tutin, President said that he will endeavor to bring a big investor to Novi Pazar and a motorway necessary for investors that would lead to this town will be constructed. “That’s precisely why it’s important for Serbia to have the airport Lađevac, to have roads constructed in the Raška and Morava Districts, to have a road from Požega to Boljar and Montenegro via Duga poljana, President pointed out.
Turkish Ambassador to Serbia, Hami Aksoy, said that relations between these two countries have reached their historical maximum and that the precondition for the arrival of investors has been created, emphasizing his contribution and the fact that Serbia can always count on Turkish support. Contractors’ Director of Tasyapi, Emrullah Turnali, said that Covid19 Pandemic has slowed down the work, but despite all the problems, their task has been accomplished.
The works on reconstruction of the road Novi Pazar – Tutin began in September 2019. The reconstruction design covered the replacement of old asphalt, the construction of retaining walls and bridges over the Sebečevska river, and the placement of road markings and vertical signage. This road route is of significant importance for residents since they waited more than 40 years for this road to be completed. The opening of the road was also attended by the president of the municipality Sjenica, Munib Mujagić, representatives of the municipality Tutin, Serbian Assembly Vice-President, Usame Zukorlić, representatives of the PE Roads of Serbia, as well as Tasyapi representatives.
