The PE “Roads of Serbia” is appealing to all traffic participants to be especially cautious when driving and adapt their speed to the road conditions, since the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia warns that on Saturday, December 2021, in mountainous regions, in southern and western Serbia, snow cover will increase (locally more than 15 cm over a 24 hours period).
According to this warning, on Sunday, December 12, 2021, snow may be expected to fall in most of Serbia. In lower regions snow cover will be from 5 cm to 25 cm, and on the mountains even more. It will be dry in the northwest of the country.
Substantial snowfall may be expected in hilly and mountainous regions of eastern and southeastern parts of Serbia (up to 50 cm of fresh snow). Strong norther wind will blow, with wind gusts and formations of snowdrifts.
The Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia notifies that on Sunday, December 12, 2021, weather in Belgrade will be cloudy, cold and windy, with snow and strong northern wind. Formation of snow cover is expected – 5 cm to 15 cm in lower parts of the City, 20 cm in hilly parts, and on Avala and Kosmaj up to 30 cm of fresh snow.
We are appealing to all traffic participants to use winter tires, and not to start their journey without winter equipment and chains, as well as to obey speed limits and adapt their speed to winter road conditions.
