Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirović, today visited the works on the motorway section from Surčin to New Belgrade, which will represent a direct link between Belgrade and the motorway E-763, "Miloš Veliki".
"I am pleased, convinced that we will keep up with the time schedule and do our best to complete everything within deadline, until October 2022“, Momirović said.
Momirović has stressed that the construction of the section New Belgrade – Surčin, in the length of 7.9 kilometres, is a very important infrastructure project, but is also very demanding because "a lot of land needs to be expropriated”.
The Minister has appealed to the citizens to be patient and remarked that, after the completion of the works, all local roads will be repaired.
Momirović has especially thanked the workers on construction sites across Serbia who have been working in three shifts, even when temperatures are very high, so that all projects could be completed in time and so that "in the next two-three years, the number of motorways and expressways would be doubled”.
