We are appealing to traffic participants to be particularly cautious during driving and adapt their speed to the road conditions since, according to the warning issued by the Republic Hydrometeorological Service, on Sunday, 10th January, 2021, heavy precipitation is expected in the South of Serbia and in Kosovo and Metohija, from 40 to 80 mm, while snow level may be increased by 30 cm in the upland areas, somewhere even more, and in the lowland areas of central, southwestern and southern Serbia it may be increased by 15 cm.
On Monday, 11th January, 2021, decrease in precipitation is expected, but further rise of the snow level is expected. In the lowland areas in the south, snow will, at times, turn into rain, which will turn into ice on the ground.
We advise drivers to obey the speed limits and drive carefully and also use winter tyres and adapt their speed to the winter conditions on the road.
