The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirović, visited yesterday, together with the Acting Director of the PE „Roads of Serbia“, Belgrade Deputy Mayor, Goran Vesić, EPS' Director, Milorad Grčić, and representatives of municipalities of Obrenovac and Čukarica, the landslide Duboko on the road route Belgrade–Obrenovac.
On that occasion, the Minister said that the landslide, which is one of the largest in Europe, would be completely rehabilitated in the next four years, and that value of the project would not amount less than EUR 100 million.
„We have to complete it in the next four years, and the Government will have to allocate annually at least EUR 20 million for the project so that we could invest in Belgrade and Obrenovac and their even better connectedness“, said Momirović, and pointed out that the rehabilitation of landslide on the section comprising road route Barič–Duboko–Umka–Ostružnica would contribute to solving decades-long problem for about 200.000 inhabitants.
The Belgrade Deputy Mayor, Goran Vesić, said that the Serbian Government allocated funds last year for displacement of 55 houses located on the landslide, so the first step had been taken, and the next one would be designing, and thereafter the construction.
