We appeal to traffic participants to be particularly cautious during driving and adapt their speed to the road conditions since, according to the warning issued by the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia, from Tuesday afternoon, 17.01.2023, to Thursday morning, 19.01.2023, there will be precipitation in the western areas of Kosovo and Metohija (with a quantity of more than 100mm) and southwestern Serbia, especially in the areas south of the line Priboj – Prijepolje – Sjenica – Novi Pazar, where 40 to 80 mm of rain is going to fall. Snow is expected only at the highest altitudes, over 1500 and up to 1600 m, while in the other regions of Serbia, a significantly smaller precipitation quantity is expected.
On Thursday, 19.01.2023. year, the zone of intense precipitation will move to the east and southeast of Serbia, where 20 to 50 mm is expected in 24 hours.
Also, according to the warning, from Monday, 16.01.2023, to Wednesday, 18.01.2023, strong and stormy southern and southwestern wind is going to blow in the košava region and in the mountains. The strongest gusts (more than 25 m/s) are expected in the south of Banat and in the southwest of Serbia on Tuesday evening, 17.01.2023, and in the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, 17.01/18.01.2023.
We advise drivers to drive carefully, obey the speed limits and adapt their speed to the road conditions as well.
