PE "Roads of Serbia" informs the public that due to the great interest of distributors and their postpaid users, from August 30, 2023 they will be part of the Open Balkan ETC project.
Toll collection within the mentioned project, for users who pay tolls in the postpaid system through distributors, will function under the same conditions as before when passing through the Republic of Serbia (in accordance with the signed Agreement on the performance of distribution activities in the postpaid system), while "roaming" will be enabled for postpaid users passing through the Republic of North Macedonia.
"Roaming", i.e. toll collection in the Republic of North Macedonia will be enabled through the registration of every interested user on the Web portal - Open Balkan ETC and connecting their payment cards (company cards) to the portal.
For passing through the Republic of North Macedonia, the user's funds will be deducted from the registered payment card and the same will be paid directly to the account of the road manager in the Republic of North Macedonia.
The steps for registering a user on the Web portal - Open Balkan ETC are as follows:
- The distributor submits a written request to PE "Roads of Serbia" to open an account on the Web portal - Open Balkan ETC
- Employees of PE "Roads of Serbia" open an account with the distributor and deliver detailed instructions for further work
- The distributor imports the database of its interested users to the Web portal - Open Balkan ETC and for each user receives a link for registration, which is then forwarded to them
- The user registers on the Web portal - Open Balkan ETC via the received link and connects his payment card
After the above steps, "roaming" is enabled to for passing through the Republic of North Macedonia.
"Roaming" for passing through the Republic of North Macedonia has no additional costs for the user, but the funds from the registered payment card are reduced exclusively by the amount of the toll of the completed passage.
