NEW FILM ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE IVERAK - LAJKOVAC EXPRESSWAY

The Public Enterprise “Roads of Serbia”, as the investor, has completed construction of another extremely important traffic infrastructure project.

It is the entire section of the expressway from Iverak near Valjevo to the Lajkovac interchange on the "Miloš Veliki" highway. The value of the entire project is 158 million euros, and the financier is the Government of the Republic of Serbia through the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.

At the end of December 2023, first 12.4 km out of a total of 18.2 kilometers of the Lakovac - Iverak expressway, from the Lajkovac interchange to the Divci interchange was completed and put into traffic.

During 2024, intensive works were done on the remaining 5.8 kilometers from the Divci interchange to the town of Iverak near Valjevo, which was completed on February 1, 2025 and put into traffic, thus completing the entire section of the Iverak - Lajkovac expressway.

The newly built expressway is extremely important for the entire Kolubar district, as it connects the city of Valjevo with the "Miloš Veliki" highway, i.e. the Belgrade-South Adriatic highway. It will relieve the traffic flow on the I B category road No 27, Iverak-Lajkovac, and it will provide faster access to the “Miloš Veliki” highway, the town of Valjevo and the tourist center of Divčibare.

The Iverak-Lajkovac high-speed road shortens the journey to Belgrade and other cities throughout Serbia and represents a transverse link in the road network of the Republic of Serbia. It also connects parts of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina with highway E-763 and further via Corridor 10, with Bulgaria and Greece.

We recorded all the stages in the construction of the expressway, especially the section Divci - Iverak, and you can watch them in the documentary film at the following link.
