Introduction of Renewable Energy Sources in PE “Roads of Serbia”

As part of the study of the introduction of renewable energy sources in PERS facilities with a cost benefit analysis, the Energy Management Department of PE Roads of Serbia started monitoring energy consumption at three typical facilities (toll stations) under the authority of PE Roads of Serbia.  Exact consumption with accompanying peaks in consumption is needed for dimensioning the system for the use of renewable energy sources that will be installed in the following period.

The monitored parameters are voltage [V], current [A], power [W] and consumed electrical energy [kWh]. Data from smart meters that are installed at three locations (Toll Station Beograd, TS Trupale and TS Preševo) are uploaded in real time to an internet portal where it is possible to review data, i.e. energy consumption.

On the home page of the internet application, within the control panel, it can be seen that electricity is currently being withdrawn from the electrical distribution network. At the moment when the equipment for supplying buildings with energy from renewable sources is installed, it will be possible to read the participation of this energy in the total consumption, the financial effect generated by earnings or savings due to the use of own energy sources, as well as the reduction of CO2 emissions due to the reduced use of energy obtained from fossil sources (combustion in thermal power plants).

The equipment will be installed for one month, until August 23, 2019. year, and the links in the attachment provide insight into energy consumption and accompanying parameters.
