We appeal to traffic participants to be particularly cautious and adapt their speed to the road conditions since, according to the warning issued by the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia, the most intense snowfall is expected in the next 48 hours in the Mačva, Kolubara, Zlatibor, Raška and Moravica districts, where, until Wednesday, 25th December 2024, 20 to 40 cm of new snow is expected in the lower regions, and over 50cm in the mountains.
Snow will fall in other regions of Serbia as well.
From the afternoon of 23rd Dec.2024 to the evening of 24th Dec.2024, a snow cover of 15 to 20 cm will form in the lower areas of Belgrade, and in the higher areas of the city approximately 30 cm of new snow.
The least snow – up to 10 cm, will be in the north of Vojvodina, in the Great Morava and the South Morava valleys, while there may be no snow only in parts of the Negotin Valley.
Teams of road workers are in the field and ready to respond if required.
We advise drivers to use winter tires, obey the speed limits and adapt their speed to the road conditions.
