ACTING DIRECTOR ZORAN DROBNJAK WITH PROFESSORS AND STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING ON A TOUR OF WORK ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF HIGHWAY E - 763, PRELJINA-POŽEGA SECTION

On the initiative and invitation of acting director Zoran Drobnjak, yesterday 10/22/2024 a professional visit of professors and students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade - presentation of the project and a tour of the works on the construction of the E-763 highway, Preljina-Požega section, was carried out.

The visit began at the camp of the contractor, the Chinese company "CCCC", with the presentation of the E-763 highway construction project, with the aim of getting professors and students familiar with the construction process and all the challenges builders face.

Acting director Zoran Drobnjak with associates, contractors, supervision, presented to the professors and students the work method, types and technology of construction of the route, road facilities and tunnels, especially emphasizing the very difficult geographical terrain, which is why numerous tunnels and bridges are being built - almost 1/3 of the route is bridges and tunnels.

Pointing out that 35 bridges of various lengths and spans have been designed on the entire section, in accordance with the obstacles and the configuration of the terrain, namely:

  • 13 bridges are over 100 m long, and the longest bridge is 478 m
  • 6 bridges with a length of 25-100 m
  • 16 single-span bridges with a length of 10-25 m

The bridge over the Zapadna Morava is unique compared to the others, because it bridges the river with a span of 80 m, and its total length is 330 m.

After the presentation of the project, professors and students had a unique opportunity to visit the complete section that is being built in the full profile of the highway with associated facilities, interchanges, tunnels and bridges, as well as to ask questions and receive adequate and expert answers.

Acting director Zoran Drobnjak was with professors and students all the time and selflessly shared his many years of experience in construction, answering questions and at the same time advising young colleagues to spend more time in the field, because, as he emphasized, to be a good engineer it is necessary to gain practice, precisely , at the construction site.

Pointing out that without experience on the construction site, there is no good construction engineer!

Students and professors of the Faculty of Civil Engineering thanked acting director Zoran Drobnjak for the initiative and invitation to visit the works on the construction of such a large and significant infrastructure project in the Republic of Serbia, and above all for his personal involvement and desire to explain and answer all the students' questions.

They pointed out that the organization of the event was at a high, professional level and that they believe that the knowledge and experience they gained during the tour of the construction site will be of great use for their future work.

Students and professors agreed that the strongest impression they take from the field is the expertise of their colleagues who welcomed them in the role of hosts and the commitment to the project, headed by Acting director Zoran Drobnjak.
